Pigeons Infestation

Pigeons are flying birds sometimes called ‘flying rat’ because they travel long distances. Therefore, it makes them the perfect disease carriers. Pigeons can carry around twelve different parasites and other diseases along the way. Pigeon droppings are known to be highly acidic, it usually smells badly and always gives the impression of their presence to make any place looks dirty.

Infestation Origin:

It is common for pigeons to not only stay under the bridges; they sometimes build nests in exposed roof drains and gutters in a more residential area. Business parking lots, especially where food is served.  These pigeons and other bird’s gatherings can really damage any business image, and also bring some serious health concerns. Their diseases are mainly spread to humans through contact with fresh and even dried bird droppings and also feather dust.

Infestation Preventive Care:

To prevent pigeons and other birds infestations; use reflective surfaces like mirrors, even cd’s. In some cases, a ”sacare-pigeon” might be a better alternative. There is also some ultrasound pigeon repellents available. A motion-activated water sprinkler could also save the day.
