Insects
A wasp is any insect of the narrow-waisted suborder which is neither a bee nor an ant. The most commonly known wasps are yellowjackets and hornets. Wasps can play many ecological roles. Some of them are predators or pollinators, whether to feed themselves or to provide for their nests. Females have the habit of laying eggs in or near a food source for the larvae to consume. Some study show that wasps population fluctuate year on year dependent on the season and weather changes. Warm weather tend to increase the number of insects.
Infestation Origin:
Wasps are attracted to anything that is sweet, including fruit trees and they usually get into your house through various locations including: Your basements, open Doors and Windows, bathroom or laundry exhaust, vents, chimney and garage. You can see holes in the walls made by the wasps. If you pay attention and keep an eye on these holes, you might see wasps coming in or getting out of them. Wasp swarms are also a good indication of wasp nests in or around your property. If you see more hornets or wasps in your yard, that might be a good sign indicating they might be busy building a nest.
Infestation Preventive Care:
To prevent having a wasps infestations; Remove food sources, seal all doors and windows, use wasp-repellent plants, stay vigilant about nests to close the shop before they invade, cover or treat the holes they make quickly. Use insecticides spray. If the problem persist, contact a professional exterminator rapidly.
